About Ali B.

Allison “Ali” Fortmann Bailey was born and raised in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of the Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, a graduate of The University of Colorado, Boulder, Colorado, a graduate of the Sorbonne, Paris, France and a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, Baltimore, Maryland. During law school, Ali interned for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as for the United States Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review.

 

Ali was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 2002, as well as the United States District Court, District of Maryland in 2007. Upon graduation from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Mary Ann Stepler and the Honorable Theresa Adams for the Circuit Court for Frederick County, Maryland. During her 2 year clerkship, Ali had the unique opportunity to work side by side with judges and learn how the judges process cases and make their decisions—an immense asset to her in analyzing her client’s cases.

 

Post clerkship, Ali entered private practice with an emphasis on family law. Ali is a certified Best Interest Attorney, representing children in contested litigation, a certified mediator and a member of the Washington County Bar Association, the Frederick County Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.

 

Ali was voted number two attorney for the 2016 Hagerstown Magazine Hot List for Washington County, Maryland attorneys.  Ali resides in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania with her husband, three children and her beloved family dog, Chance. When not working, Ali loves to travel, ski, watch movies and spend time with her family and friends.  Ali is passionate about helping people through the difficult times that are attributed to custody and divorce issues.

About Ali P.

Alison Peteranecz was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society from Hood College, and went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Pennsylvania State University, The Dickinson School of Law. During law school, Ali interned for the Pennsylvania School Boards Association. She later worked in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for ICF International, assisting with the housing recovery program following Hurricane Katrina.

 

Ali was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 2009. Upon graduating from law school, she clerked for the Honorable Daniel P. Dwyer and the Honorable Dana Moylan Wright in the Circuit Court for Washington County, Maryland. During her four-year clerkship, Ali had the privilege of working closely with the judges and learning how they process and decide cases. This experience has been a tremendous asset to her in analyzing her client’s cases.

 

Ali is a member of the Maryland Bar Association and the Washington County Bar Association, and is a certified Child Counsel Attorney. She is also qualified as a court-appointed mediator focusing primarily on domestic matters. Ali was voted number two attorney for the 2017 Hagerstown Magazine Hot List for Washington County, Maryland attorneys. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Rose Hill Cemetery. Ali is also a ministry partner at Lifehouse Church. She lives in Hagerstown with her husband, Kit and her four children. Her last name is pronounced Pet-er-uh-nets.

About Heather W.

Heather Wetzel was born in Frederick County and moved to Washington County when she was 8 years old. She is a 2002 graduate of Smithsburg High School. Heather holds an Associate Degree in Accounting and recently graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies.

 

Prior to joining Antietam Law Group in 2017, Heather worked for over eight years in customer service before taking an extended leave of absence to raise her two boys. Since joining Antietam Law Group, Heather has become an asset to our team.

 

Heather now resides in Washington County with her husband and two children. She has a passion for helping people. She enjoys family law because it gives her the opportunity to work with the community on a personal level. When clients come to our firm, they are potentially facing one of the most emotional and stressful times of their life. Heather’s goal when working with our clients is to make them feel comfortable and to be a source of positivity during this difficult time. When she is not in the office, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, running, reading, and serving her community of faith.
